In January 2010 Fiber Notion®  introduced machine sewing classes for two.  Its like having private sewing lessons!  

Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Sewing Classes are on offer.  Check this space or call the store for more details.

In addition to machine sewing classes we continue to offer our popular hand sewing and craft classes.  Classes are limited to 2-3 people. If you're interested please call the store to reserve your spot.  Please note we arrange our classes to suit your schedule!

We will be adding to our class schedule regularly so please check this space for updates!

MACHINE SEWING CLASSES

Session 1 Classes meet Wednesday OR Thursday EVENINGS over 3 Weeks

1st class meets 7:00p.m.-10:00pm

2nd & 3rd classes meet 7:00p.m.-9:30p.m.

 

Session 2 meets Wednesday or Thursday MORNINGS over 3 Weeks

1st class meets 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

 Beginner Machine Sewing 

Our beginner machine sewing classes are designed to introduce the newbie sewer to the basics of machine sewing and working with a pattern.  You will learn to wind bobbins  thread the machine & set sewing tension.  Working with a simple pattern you will learn the basic pattern techniques mark pin cut & baste.

Intermediate Machine Sewing

Our intermediate machine sewing classes are designed to further advance your sewing skills.  In these classes you will work with more advanced patterns, fabrics  and sewing techniques to further develop and enhance your machine sewing skills.

Advanced Machine Sewing

Our advanced machine sewing classes are for the sewer looking to finesse machine sewing techniques.

INTRO TO HAND QUILTING: ONE PATCH SCRAP QUILT

MACHINE QUILTING: LAP QUILT

In this intro to machine quilting you will learn to sew quilt blocks together to make a small quilt.  The class will cover rotary cutting, machine piecing, sashing, borders, quilting and binding.  There is homework each week for this fast moving class.  Book Required

This class will introduce you to the world of fabric postcards! Learn how to make these wonderful mini art works that can be mailed to your family and friends. Or better yet, turned into "refrigerator art". Let your imagination run wild! You will finish one or two different 4" X 6" fabric postcards during class.

 

NEEDLE FELTING TECHNIQUES
