OCTOBER DATES
Beginner Knitting 1 meets 2 afternoons 1pm-3pm 10/6 10/13
Instructor: Marina Bekkerman $70If you've never held knitting needles in your life, if you need a refresher or just want to learn continental method of knitting, this class is for you! Learn to cast on, the knit stitch, striping, making a button hole, the bind off, all while creating an adorable cell phone/ipod holder. Knitting is hot! Why not join in the fun? No experience necessary. Ages 12 and up.
Embellished Postcards meets 11:30am- 2:30pm 10/18
Instructor: Teresa Vega $70This class will introduce you to the world of one-of-a kind, personalized fabric postcards. Learn how to make wonderful mini art quilts that can be mailed to your family and friends. Or better yet, turned into "refrigerator art". Let your imagination run wild! You will finish one or two different 4" X 6" fabric postcards during class. They are truly addictive to make.

Instructor: Marina Bekkerman $70Now that you know how to cast on and the knit stitch, learn the purl stitch, how to read patterns, increase and decrease. In this class, we'll be making a beautiful headband while learning more advanced skills of knitting. We will also look at your knitting future by discussing what projects each student would like to make after the class. Some experience necessary. Ages 12 and up.
Mixed Media Techniques Workshop meets 11:30am- 2:30pm 10/19
Instructor: Teresa Vega $65This demonstration workshop is an introduction to mixed media. Students will learn how to incorporate mixed media into one-of-a-kind art quilts or other fabric surfaces. This class is about using new materials. This is a demo class so there is no need to bring anything. Instructor will have materials for students to play with for the duration of the class.
Holiday Party Cones meets 6:30pm-9pm 10/21
Instructor: Davida J Hyland $65Come create an original piece of art that can be filled with goodies or used for home decor. Using felt as a base, release your inner creativity using the many decorating options available at Fiber Notion®. The cones can be decorated for the holidays - halloween, christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa, or for a room accent. You decide how sparingly or elaborate you want. Class promises hours of fun! Ages 12 and up.

Collage Ornaments meets 11:30am- 2:30pm 11/01

Needle Felting Techniques meets 11:30am- 2:30pm 11/02
Instructor: Teresa Vega $65In this introduction to needle felting class students will learn how to transform wool roving into felted fabric as well as 3-D objects. In addition, they will also learn how to appliqué felted designs onto wool fabric. No prior felting experience needed, Adults

Intro to Hand Quilting 1: Handpiecing meets 4 eves 6:30pm-8:30pm 11/05 11/12 11/19 & 12/03
